Cosmic Explorations: at the Intersection of Science, Space, Art, and Culture
The conference will consist of the invited and contributed scholarly talks, poster papers, public lectures, and discussion panels. A thematic art exhibit is also being planned.
Most of the sessions will be held at the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Caltech, with the half-day sessions planned to be held at the Griffith Observatory and at the Huntington Library and Gardens, and possibly also an art venue TBD. Transportation to these off-campus events will be provided as needed.
Field trips to Palomar Observatory, Mt. Wilson Observatory, and possibly others will be organized for June 26, immediately following the main conference.
Scholars wishing to present papers should indicate so in the registration form, no later than March 31, 2020. The Program Committee will select the papers to be presented, and notify the participants by the end of April.
The talks at the conference will be recorded, and the videos posted on this site. Written proceedings are also planned.
The preliminary program for the conference will be posted here, no later than April 30, 2020.
